FAQ
Does this kit include the transmission pistons?
No, this is an Overhaul Kit (OHK), which includes all the "soft goods" (seals, rings, and gaskets). It does not include the bonded pistons. If your pistons are hardened or damaged, they must be purchased separately to ensure the transmission holds proper hydraulic pressure.
Why is the Duraprene pan gasket better than a standard rubber one?
CVTs operate at high temperatures, which can cause standard gaskets to shrink or become brittle. Duraprene is a synthetic fiber-rubber material that maintains its shape and seal under extreme pressure and temperature cycles, making it the preferred choice for Nissan CVT pans.
Can a seal kit fix my Nissan CVT "judder" or "whining" noise?
Whining and juddering are often caused by low fluid pressure or a worn belt/pulley system. This kit provides the seals to restore that pressure, but if the mechanical belt or pulley faces are already scarred, new seals alone will not fix the noise. Always inspect the hard parts during your overhaul.
Is the JF010E transmission the same as the JF011E?
No. The JF010E (RE0F09A) is a heavy-duty unit designed specifically for V6 engines. The JF011E is used in 4-cylinder vehicles (Sentra, Rogue). The parts are not interchangeable, so please verify your engine size and transmission code before ordering.
